My name is Kirsten Roling and I am a Dentist, Dental Educator and Dentist Consultant. A 1994 graduate of the University of California, San Francisco; I hold a D.D.S. and B.Sc. degree in Dental Sciences. UCSF School of Dentistry, was the number one Dental School in the nation during the time of my acceptance into the program a
nd the remainder of my training. Despite my excellent dental school training, I have witnessed a profound inequity in the delivery of dental services and the declining oral health status of our disenfranchised populations. My focus is Dental Education and Public Health Dentistry. I have held positions in Clinical Dentistry both in private practice and Public Health clinics. I treat underserved populations and attempt to alleviate the disparity which exists in oral health and the lack of dental services to our most vulnerable patients: primarily the impoverished, children, elderly and special needs. I have also held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor, Dental Director, and prior to my training, Registered Dental Assistant. It is my hope to promote a legacy of compassionate care to my students. My wish is to shed some light on the Oral Health Crisis in our country through my own eyes and experience delivering dental care in public health settings.
